Everybody tells me that it must be great being a psychologist, it must be the best job in the world. And mostly it is, I love my job.
But, it’s also the most frustrating job in the world.
I’m in it to help people, that’s what gets me up in the morning.
Helping people for me is all about finding solutions, fixes, outcomes, helping you make the changes you want.
Call it what you will, I’m in the business of solutions.
The frustrating thing for me is that out there in the world, you’re bombarded with people telling you that they’ve got the solution;

The problem with everything you may have tried so far is it’s usually about describing the problem rather than offering solutions. Meds will help, but they’re not enough on their own.
So, you get busy doing all the things you hope may help, only to feel worse because you now feel you’ve tried really hard and still don’t feel much better. Possibly you’re starting to secretly worry that you can’t be helped, that maybe this is just how life is for you?
